  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a veterinary nurse.
  • Confidence monitoring general anaesthesia, including electrocardiogram, peripheral oxygen saturation, end-tidal carbon dioxide, and blood pressure monitoring.
  • Availability for overnight, weekend, and public holiday shifts.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Passion for providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
  • Provide intensive care unit and critical care nursing.
  • Perform emergency and hospital nursing.
  • Conduct triage and patient stabilisation.
  • Monitor and support anaesthesia.
  • Manage a diverse and challenging caseload.
  • Care for complex medical, surgical, and neurological patients before, during, and after advanced procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with specialists and clinicians across critical care, neurology, anaesthesia, surgery, internal medicine, radiology, and oncology.
  • Participate in tailored training, structured orientation, and continuing education as part of role development.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous emergency or referral experience.
  • Experience as a veterinary nurse transitioning from general practice into referral and emergency nursing.
