Requirements

3+ years' experience in a performance engineering, capacity engineering or site reliability role for customer facing solutions for large scale systems
Experience in Automation Tools, Performance analysis, Webservices and REST analysis on browser
Expertise in JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, Locust etc
Experience in APM Tools such as Grafana, Kibana and New Relic
Experience in coding/scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, bash or Go
Debugging, Monitoring, Optimizations of cloud platform infrastructure and services
Experience with performance benchmarking large scale applications hosted on Kubernetes platforms
Experience with Databases (Relational and NoSQL) and caching solutions
Knowledge of technologies used in building scalable, distributed systems in virtualized cloud-like environments and respective performance trade-offs
Solid DevOps skills in troubleshooting live applications, assessing performance bottlenecks of applications running on Linux
Willing to take new initiatives and work with minimal supervision
Be a thinker, help in finding performance bottlenecks, debug to get RCA and provide working solutions

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end system performance through design, launch, and operation - understand architecture design, requirements, and help support on-going releases with aim of achieving high performance quality
Own and operate performance/load/soak tests on performance test environment
Diagnose and locate server-side performance issues using API call analysis and identify bottlenecks throughout the application stack
Effectively collaborate and communicate for better performance governance across all teams to improve code base performance and present findings to them
Proactively investigate site performance issues in production and work cross functionally to validate resolutions
Provide visibility to what is going on for allotted multi-tier application: Run performance and capacity experiments to determine scaling and utilization parameters for various front-end and back-end service tiers

Vibrent Health, a rapidly growing health-tech company, is seeking an experienced Performance Test and Design Engineer to join our growing team. As a member of the of the Engineering and Automation team, you’ll be responsible for designing tests and evaluating data from production and test environments related to system performance and recommend tuning/optimization.

This role will be filled with an initial 6 month engagement with the intention to either extend or hire. Candidates may choose to be a W-2 temporary employee, with access to our Temporary Employee Benefits package, or work for us as an independent contractor (1099.)

Vibrent is a 100% remote workplace. You will be equipped to work remotely from anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities:
