Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, with at least 2 years focused on benchmarks, indices, or managed services
  • Proven experience working with financial data, index methodologies, or market data platforms
  • Experience with regulatory frameworks governing benchmarks (e.g., IOSCO, EU BMR) is a plus
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or Excel (advanced)
  • Familiarity with index calculation platforms, financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv), or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Understanding of API integration and data workflows in managed services environments
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, product managers, and development teams, to gather and document business requirements for benchmark/index managed services
  • Analyze and validate index methodologies, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
  • Perform in-depth analysis of financial data to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of benchmarks and indices
  • Identify inefficiencies in workflows related to index calculation, rebalancing, and reporting
  • Act as a liaison between business, technical, and client teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements, timelines, and deliverables
  • Lead and support projects related to the development, enhancement, or maintenance of benchmark/index managed services
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements (e.g., IOSCO, EU BMR) impacting benchmarks and indices
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user guides
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS) or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred
  • Experience with index rebalancing, weighting methodologies, or custom index creation
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
