  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years Software Engineering work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of C / C++ and familiarity with unit testing and system testing using frameworks like Google Test.
  • Understanding of SOC architecture.
  • Embedded and or mobile programming experience including optimization of algorithms to support low power and or low memory footprint.
  • Strong understanding of concepts like threads, memory management, registers, RTOS, etc.
  • Programming in one interpreted language (Python, Perl, Ruby).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced team environment across geographic regions.
Responsibilities
  • Embedded software development in C/C++. Implementing system algorithms, performance testing, code profiling, and optimization.
  • Embedding neural networks on Hardware accelerators, via Qualcomm internal or open-source libraries, such as TensorFlowMicro.
  • Integrating ML and DSP algorithms in the sensors SW framework and performing offline and online validation and testing.
  • Understanding system and SOC hardware requirements and translating them into SW models and frameworks.
  • Architecting software frameworks and module implementations on a variety of cores like CPU, MCU, and GPU.
  • Development of prototype reference platforms that cover mobile devices, watches, hearables, etc.
  • Collaborate with global systems, hardware, and software teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Skills in some of the following areas: The ability to implement MATLAB-coded algorithms in C, including both floating and fixed-point implementations.
  • Experience modifying device drivers.
  • Familiarity with peripherals like I2C, I3C, and SPI.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience on ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Experience implementing basic machine learning algorithms such as SVM's, neural nets etc. in C.
