Responsibilities
  • Proactively find and write exclusive stories on the marketing and advertising industry.
  • Regularly interview leading figures.
  • Produce timely and considered analysis on topical trends and developments.
  • Commission, edit, and provide feedback on contributed content where required.
  • Work with the social media executive and distribution team to promote stories on The Drum's key channels.
  • Frequently call and meet key contacts to uncover developments in the industry.
  • Support colleagues from other teams with specialist expertise, grow presence within The Drum, and contribute to wider company efforts.
  • Continuously hone the professional network to build a reputation as a go-to industry journalist.
  • Appear on camera, at panels, and on podcasts for The Drum to share knowledge and bring attention to reporting.
