Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of private industry experience at a SaaS company is highly preferred, and public accounting (ex. Big 4) experience is a plus.
  • CPA is required
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (ASC 606, ASC 718 for example) and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficient in NetSuite (SuiteBlling) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task and a high sense of urgency
Responsibilities
  • Own core accounting responsibilities including month-end close process, account reconciliation and financial reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy of revenue recognition reporting and ASC 606 compliance through contract review and approval of subscriptions added to NetSuite.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Oversee the Customer Acquisition Costs (deferred commissions) calculations and ensure amounts are appropriate based on ASC 606.
  • Assist the VP of Finance and Corporate Controller with the budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and financial modeling.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and other financial reporting obligations.
  • Oversee sales tax compliance ensuring reporting requirements and filings are complete and accurate.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure policy, procedures and internal controls are updated in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Ability to research and reconcile discrepancies and verify documents in accordance with accounting procedures and policies.
  • Seek opportunities for process improvements and implement operational accounting efficiencies through improved policies and control enhancements.
  • Participate in special projects, system improvements, or ad hoc analyzes/projects as assigned.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
