- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
- A trade license in plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, carpentry, or a related trade is preferred.
- A valid driver's license for the applicable state is required.
- An acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record is required where applicable.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for the majority of the shift.
- Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
- Change light bulbs and perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-up painting, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, guestrooms, meeting rooms, swimming pools, and hot tubs.
- Perform plumbing and laundry equipment repairs, conduct preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and supply systems, monitor energy conservation, and repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment upon request.
- Immediately follow up on alarms to determine their exact location and cause, determine emergency status, and report findings to the Front Desk.
- Perform other assigned tasks as directed by a supervisor or manager.
- Drive a shuttle van when needed, where applicable to the property.
- Experience in a hotel or related field.
- A license in a trade such as plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, or carpentry.
