  • You are an experienced product leader who has built and grown design teams within a SaaS product organization - consumer or enterprise
  • You are somebody who loves people leadership just as much as the craft of design
  • You have experience creating UX strategies that provide designers with clear direction and purpose in their work
  • You have well-developed communication, collaboration and creative problem-solving skills with an ability to lead and the humility to adapt
  • You care deeply about the hiring experience and have helped build empowered product teams
  • You are a cultural contributor and mentor to others
  • Is excellent at bringing people together to collaborate using various methods to get the most out of all phases of design thinking
  • You start from a place of curiosity, seek out feedback from everyone, and foster a space where everyone can participate
  • Experience in working across multiple platforms, using the right design or research method at the right time to generate insights, high and low-fidelity prototypes, and documentation

Responsibilities
  • Be a product experience leadership group member and report to Jaybe Allanson, Director, Product Design
  • Focus on leading the product design efforts across both the employee and customer engagement product lines and take accountability for the UX outcomes in those areas
  • Work collaboratively with your Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing peers to align priorities, develop strategy and ensure that the team's work is aligned with Benevity's product vision
  • Spend minimal time on surface-level design work and favour articulating the product strategy and vision
  • Lead, coach, and develop a diverse and growing team of Product Designers and manage their performance and career development
  • Advocate and promote your team's work across Benevity, ensuring that product designers are provided opportunities to develop the skills needed to progress in their own roles
  • Be an active contributor to our hiring experience through recruiting, interviewing, and assessing new team members
  • Grow and foster a team culture that extends our Benevity culture of We over Me - building an inclusive environment for everyone
  • Help others improve their research and design thinking practice while leading your strategic research
  • Manage team priorities and capacity to achieve quarterly and annual goals. Holding yourself and others accountable when they are not
  • Help articulate and define how we work and operate as a product experience team
