Fixed Income Production Support Analyst

Talan Consulting is seeking a highly skilled FI Production Support Analyst to join our team and work with one of our prestigious investment banking partners in London. This role is ideal for a technically strong and proactive individual who thrives in high-pressure environments and is committed to maintaining the stability and performance of critical financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day Level 2/3 support for Fixed Income (FI) trading and post-trade systems.

• Monitor and support critical FI production environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

• Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and front-office teams to identify and resolve issues quickly.

• Perform root cause analysis and provide long-term solutions to recurring problems.

• Support ION trading platform integrations and configurations.

• Maintain and improve automation tools and monitoring solutions.

• Participate in incident and change management processes in alignment with ITIL standards.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• Fixed Income (FI) domain expertise – strong understanding of FI trading workflows and products.

• Advanced knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and strong command-line skills.

• Proficiency in Linux systems administration, shell scripting, and system troubleshooting.

• Hands-on experience with the ION trading platform, including deployment, configuration, and support.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle critical incidents calmly and efficiently.

• Experience working in a production support environment within investment banking or financial services.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.).

• Familiarity with messaging systems like MQ, Solace, or Kafka.

• Exposure to DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Git).

• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
