Requirements
  • You have a transaction background from a major firm, such as deals, transaction advisory, or M&A at one of the Big Four, as a Senior Manager and/or an outstanding young auditor with a clear transaction track record.
  • You have personally led Financial Due Diligence and can independently present valuations, the data room, and findings.
  • You have participated in negotiations and the SPA process and understand how a deal runs from origination through closing.
  • You have hands-on expertise in valuation and Financial Due Diligence.
  • You work in a structured manner under time pressure while maintaining quality and speed.
  • You can communicate precisely and professionally in the data room and build warm, respectful relationships with business owners.
  • You use artificial intelligence as a standard tool for research, valuation, data-room analysis, and documentation.
  • You have genuine respect for independent business owners and are comfortable combining analytical depth with relationship-building.
  • You are willing to build a lean function from the ground up.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and screen acquisition targets against the company's criteria, including hard qualifiers such as DATEV, and maintain the Buy-and-Build pipeline in the customer relationship management system.
  • Qualify targets against the M&A filter, including client-base acquisition, service-portfolio expansion, and scalability effects.
  • Build relationships with potential sellers and increasingly conduct seller conversations, initially together with management.
  • Prepare indicative valuations using the company's valuation calculator, the business case, and the data-room structure.
  • Lead the Financial Due Diligence process and present its results.
  • Manage the LOI and SPA process together with in-house legal counsel, maintaining the timeline through closing.
  • Take increasing responsibility for structured negotiations while preparing the final terms and closing decision for management.
  • Hand each transaction over cleanly to Adoption & Integration, including the 100-day plan, committed synergies, and critical handover points.
  • Remain the commercial and strategic link beyond closing without personally leading operational integration.
  • Independently lead seller conversations, at least one transaction, valuation, Financial Due Diligence, and data-room presentations within the initial delivery period.
  • Oversee multiple transactions from outreach through Financial Due Diligence, negotiation, and handover, and ultimately carry independent Buy-and-Build execution.
Desired Qualifications
  • Profiles from boutiques or corporate M&A with a focus on the mid-market are explicitly welcomed.
  • An outstanding young auditor or a manager with a deal track record and a desire to move into entrepreneurial operating work is welcomed.
