The Job
As the Head of Product Design, you will lead a team of impactful designers who are key to our engineering and product teams. You’ll be the foundational member of the design leadership team and have the opportunity to partner with product management and engineering leadership on discovery, strategy, and execution. You will be responsible for supporting your team in delivering high-quality designs and solutions for Panther’s cutting-edge Cybersecurity product.

The Responsibilities
- You will lead, manage, and mentor Product Designers to deliver their best work, always pushing for high quality research, analysis and design.
- You’ll be responsible for building a diverse, inclusive team of product designers that consistently deliver on projects and strive to be subject matter experts in their field.
- As the foundational member on the leadership team, you’ll partner with Engineering and Product Management on goals, strategy and process, from conception to launch.
- Continue to advance our approach to experimentation, prototyping, and user-research that validate design concepts and influence Panther’s product vision.
- Facilitate and contribute to design critiques, investing in a culture of feedback and growth to continually raise our bar for quality.
The Requirements
- 3-5 years of design leadership experience with direct reports under you guidance
- Experience building products for B2B SaaS companies; experience working on security products, developer, or data tools is highly preferred
- A design portfolio that illustrates functional, delightful experiences, as an individual contributor, and via the team(s) you have directed and lead
- Customer-focused and belief in the value of research
- Experience attracting, developing, and retaining talented Product Designers
- Experience working collaboratively with Product and Engineering leaders and teams
- Experience working with and leading distributed teams
Cash compensation range: 200,000 - 240,000 USD Annually
The cash compensation above includes base salary and on-target commission for employees in eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all full-time Pantherinos are eligible to participate in our equity plan to receive Incentive Stock Options (ISO). Individual compensation packages are based on a few factors unique to each candidate, including their location, experience, and expertise, and may vary from the above-mentioned range.
