Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Resident Engineer - UTILITIES to join our team! In this role you will get to work on one of the most exciting Infrastructure projects in the Country! The Hudson Tunnel project in NY/NJ was recently awarded to Parsons and 2 other JV partners.

As a Resident Engineer specializing in UTILITIES, we need someone with experience in various utility construction requirements (NJ and NYC). Utility mapping experience is a plus.

Looking for high-level skills in:

• High voltage (26kV) substation design (for TBMs we will be using)

• Technical understanding of generators and automatic transfer switches

• Experience with 480V heavy equipment power distribution and components

• Experience with high voltage (13.2kV) flexible power distribution cables for mining applications

• Bonus: experience managing union electrical contractors or working alongside utility companies such as PSE&G would be a huge benefit to the team

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate relocations, new installations, and service adjustments

• Oversee utility related construction. Ensure that work adheres to design plans, specifications, and safety standards

• Conduct site inspections to verify that utility installations and relocations meet project requirements and industry standards. Approve work completed by contractors and recommend acceptance or necessary corrective action

• Monitor utility-related costs and ensure adherence to project budgets

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience), and typically 10+ years of experience in field construction is required

• Ten plus years of experience in heavy civil construction and field construction is required

• Someone with experience in various utility construction requirements (NJ and NYC)

• To ensure out and utility mapping experience is a plus

• Minimum 10 years experience in utility engineering or construction management, preferably infrastructure projects
