Requirements
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have basic knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others.
  • Must be able to administer subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections.
  • Must be able to manually take patient vital signs.
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
  • Must be able to react calmly and effectively in a difficult or emergent situation.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, maintain balance, and handle and lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Must have sufficient manual dexterity to operate a computer and keyboard at 50 words per minute, calculator, telephone, copier, and fax.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle to travel between clinics.
  • Must follow HIPAA rules and regulations, including confidentiality of patient information.
  • Must follow OSHA requirements, including universal precautions and sharps disposal guidelines.
Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs, past and present medical history, and current medication lists.
  • Communicate allergy testing and treatment protocols to patients.
  • Administer subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections.
  • Conduct accurate spirometry testing to assess and evaluate lung function in patients.
  • Perform testing and treatment in accordance with Aspire Allergy protocols and safety measures.
  • Navigate the electronic health record system to record accurate patient health information.
  • Greet, welcome, and direct patients and visitors appropriately.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide accurate information.
  • Track clinical inventory and resupply it when needed.
  • Ensure end-of-day reports and logs are accurate and complete.
  • Cross-train in front-office responsibilities to support full-cycle clinic operations.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Collect patient payments.
  • Support treatment coordination, including enrolling patients in their chosen treatment.
  • Obtain computed tomography authorizations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Completed Medical Assistant program or degree.
  • At least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
  • At least one year of Medical Receptionist experience.
  • Medical Assistant certificate, vocational nurse license, or related experience.
  • Current CPR certification.
