- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others.
- Must be able to administer subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections.
- Must be able to manually take patient vital signs.
- Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
- Must be able to react calmly and effectively in a difficult or emergent situation.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, maintain balance, and handle and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Must have sufficient manual dexterity to operate a computer and keyboard at 50 words per minute, calculator, telephone, copier, and fax.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle to travel between clinics.
- Must follow HIPAA rules and regulations, including confidentiality of patient information.
- Must follow OSHA requirements, including universal precautions and sharps disposal guidelines.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs, past and present medical history, and current medication lists.
- Communicate allergy testing and treatment protocols to patients.
- Administer subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections.
- Conduct accurate spirometry testing to assess and evaluate lung function in patients.
- Perform testing and treatment in accordance with Aspire Allergy protocols and safety measures.
- Navigate the electronic health record system to record accurate patient health information.
- Greet, welcome, and direct patients and visitors appropriately.
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide accurate information.
- Track clinical inventory and resupply it when needed.
- Ensure end-of-day reports and logs are accurate and complete.
- Cross-train in front-office responsibilities to support full-cycle clinic operations.
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Collect patient payments.
- Support treatment coordination, including enrolling patients in their chosen treatment.
- Obtain computed tomography authorizations.
- Completed Medical Assistant program or degree.
- At least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
- At least one year of Medical Receptionist experience.
- Medical Assistant certificate, vocational nurse license, or related experience.
- Current CPR certification.
