World Relief seeks an Ukrainian Support Specialist. This position is responsible for facilitating the intake process for Ukrainian Humanitarian Parolees, including document verification, and the coordination, monitoring, and follow-up of client’s short-term and long-term care. This position will provide case management including ongoing cultural adjustment support, orientations, referrals, mediation services and help with employment services. The Ukrainian Support Case Specialist will work closely with community organizations, churches, landlords, and service providers to facilitate self-sufficiency among clients.
Role & Responsibilities

- Client Services
- Conduct initial client intake to collect demographic information, gather client documentation, and assess program eligibility
- Conduct comprehensive family assessment with each client, develop individual client service plans based on strengths and needs, and facilitate connections to appropriate services and resources
- Conduct regular check-ins during the first 90 days to assess goal progression, evaluate family stability and needs, and to provide support and guidance to clients through case management.
- Provide employment counseling to clients that may include individual meetings, informing about job prospects, following up on job leads, and coordinating interview scheduling.
- Provide mediation services between clients and outside entities (i.e., neighbors, landlords, volunteers, service providers, etc.)
- Conduct outreach within the Ukrainian immigrant community as well as with community organizations to increase awareness of service provision available to Ukrainian Humanitarian Parolees through World Relief.
- Make internal referrals to World Relief’s social services programs (case management, employment services, children & youth services, mental health counseling) and referrals to other WR programs (ESL, immigration legal services)
- Provide referrals to community agencies and organizations for clients seeking services that WR does not offer; follow-up on referrals to ensure that client was able to connect with the recommended resource
- Maintain timely and accurate client files, case notes, and reporting records
- Actively participate in department meetings, staff development opportunities, program trainings, community activities, and organizational events
- Attend external community meetings to build relationships with community agencies
- Collaborate with volunteers and Volunteer Services staff to support the work of volunteers engaging with clients
- Other duties as assigned

- Highly self-motivated with strong follow-through and ability to work independently.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented
- Flexible and willing to adapt, not freaked out when stuff doesn’t go according to plan
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain detailed, accurate records
- Strong mediation and problem-solving skills
- Direct-service experience with immigrant populations preferred
- Cross-cultural experience and/or knowledge of the refugee/immigrant experience
- BSW preferred

- MS Office skills required
- Valid driver’s license, and ability/willingness to drive 15-passenger van required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends
- Fluent in Ukrainian
