Requirements
  • Bachelor in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and/or Microsoft Project)
  • Ability to work on an assembly floor.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance, including Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field with 2 years of experience in the following engineering filed; Manufacturing, Aerospace, Mechanical, Nuclear, Project Management, Industrial, Systems or Process Engineering OR Masters in STEM with 0 years of experience in mentioned fields.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand frontline problems and implement cost-saving solutions.
  • Utilize various Continuous Improvement tools to analyze shop floor practices and processes for opportunities to minimize scrap, reduce cost, increase capacity, and optimize schedule.
  • Work with frontline leadership to assess current state and define future state possibilities.
  • Provide tactics and training to frontline leaders and shop floor personnel to improve the current state and define future possibilities.
  • Conduct studies and generate metrics pertaining to efficiency, cycle times, work-in-progress, manpower, cost performance, and product delivery.
  • Partner with manufacturing management to develop and track recovery plans that instill confidence within program management and customers.
  • Apply systems thinking in the development of metrics to improve product flow from the release of raw materials through product delivery.
  • Provide capacity planning, rate tool analyses, and facility layouts to ensure the ongoing success of composite operations.
