Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with digital design, hardware, electrical engineers and scientists utilizing your knowledge of systems engineering methods, tools and techniques to establish mission requirements.

• Candidates should be experienced in requirements decomposition, flow down and management, validation and verification planning, interface definition, and expertise with application of various engineering tools such as DOORS and Cameo. 

• The role will include validating the customer level requirements and pulling from multiple inputs to develop the program level requirements. 

• The role will include support for major program reviews such as SRR, PDR, and CDR.

• The role will include interface with clients, as well as regular interactions with internal engineering associates and program management, and support for working groups with 3rd parties

This position will serve on-site in Linthicum/ Annapolis Junction, MD.

Basic Qualifications for Senior Staff Mission Systems Requirements Lead:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 14 years of experience, a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 9 years of experience.

• Experience facilitating internal and customer collaboration to capture and enhance engineering artifacts.

• Demonstrated experience with the full product life cycle (requirements, design, implementation, and test).

• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering for requirements and architecture management (Cameo Systems Modeler preferred).

• Demonstrated Requirements Management from Elicitation to Verification.

• This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.

• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications for Senior Staff Mission Systems Requirements Lead:

• Current active TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements.

• Advanced Degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.

• Experience in a technical lead role.

• Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements (UAF).

• Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally.

• Experience working with CAMEO.

• Demonstrated Backlog Planning and Management.

• Risk and Opportunity Management experience.

Salary Range: $174,800.00 - $274,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
