Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Zero to three years of experience in construction or engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to drive for the company.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing project cost estimates, proposals, and material take-offs.
  • Perform technical analysis of remediation methodologies from previously remediated projects.
  • Perform assigned administrative and office duties.
  • Travel to project sites as necessary for extended durations.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare project submittals and maintain project record documents.
  • Perform technical reviews of contract plans and specifications.
  • Provide oversight and documentation for project quality control in accordance with contract plans, specifications, and company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare daily construction reports and track project progress.
  • Manage, interpret, and perform site surveying.
  • Assist with managing subcontractors.
  • Assist with procuring or renting equipment and materials.
  • Assist the Project Manager with daily project cost reporting and tracking.
  • Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Internship or co-op experience in construction or engineering, particularly site surveying, earthwork, In-Situ Stabilization, mechanics of solids with emphasis on soils, hydraulics, theory of structures, strength of materials, or engineering geology.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and USACE QCS systems.
  • Experience with site surveying using conventional and GPS methods.
  • Experience assisting with cost estimates and proposals.
  • Experience with materials procurement and purchasing.
  • Ability to evaluate risks, resolve challenges, champion safety, and deliver quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Integrity, communication, teamwork, and proactive customer responsiveness.
