Senior Logistics Specialist @ nVent

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

Lead spot transportation activity across relevant nVent sites and customers with a focus on speed and cost
Lead projects and initiatives sought to reduce supply chain cost, improve customer experience, and advance nVent supply chain goals
Focus on digital projects that include: TMS implementation, Freight Audit and Pay implementation, and Tableau dashboards
Build scorecards and reporting to lead the business and report on outcomes and opportunities to top management
Support the implementation and removal of logistics partners in alignment with site and shipping leaders and enterprise teams
Bring ideas and build solutions to focus on ESG metrics and goals that include internal opportunities for improvement as well as carbon reduction in our external logistics network
Create and lead a funnel of continuous improvement items that require focus from the business to support key critical metrics

YOU HAVE:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Ideally 7+ years of logistics transportation or carrier management experience with an emphasis on bids, negotiations, and performance monitoring
Funnel management, lean business tools, and project leadership experience preferred
Digital tools experience with preferably Tableau, ERP, TMS, WMS, and FAP
Analytic with experience using qualitative and quantitative to evaluate logistics operations and service providers
Interpersonal skills to ensure the ability to focus on the key day-to-day priorities without losing sight of longer-term initiatives
Experience with LTL and Parcel shipping
Requires up to 15% business travel (air and vehicle) and working hybrid out of Solon, OH office
