Requirements
  • 8-12 years of experience supervising accounting cycles (order to cash, procure to pay, etc.) and general ledger, GAAP based, accounting and reporting
  • Work history in either manufacturing, retail, or SAS-based companies with revenues greater than $100M
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
  • Experience managing outsourced accounting functions
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Able to balance hands-on work (when necessary) with the effective delegation of tasks
  • Able to function both as manager and mentor to the accounting team
  • Collaborative and transparent communication style
Responsibilities
  • Manage an outsourced accounting team (India-based Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, Junior Accountants) on daily operations, month-end close and reporting and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and review monthly close activities to ensure financial results are in accordance with US GAAP
  • Develop, implement, and review reconciliation procedures to ensure internal controls are operating effectively
  • Responsible for managing NetSuite including master data maintenance necessary for internal and external reporting
  • Provide financial reports as needed for internal and external users
  • Ensure monthly actuals are loaded to Adaptive platform
  • Monitor bank balances, prepare and present weekly payment runs, and provide monthly bank compliance reporting
  • Collaborate with supply chain, sales, and customer support operations, on the design and systems integration of business processes that impact accounting transactions
  • Oversee inventory costing including the use of standard costs and FIFO basis of accounting
  • Manage accounting-related information requests
  • Function as primary contact for financial auditors
  • Manage processes for collection and remittance of sales tax, including working with outside tax consultants
