At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.

Those in tax compliance at PwC will focus on validating clients’ compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will review and analyse financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimising risks of non-compliance.

Driven by curiosity, you are a reliable, contributing member of a team. The Opportunity
As part of the PwC Private team you are expected to support various client service activities. As an Intern/Trainee you are expected to support teams, observe and learn, and participate in projects, focusing on gaining exposure to PwC practices and methodologies. You are expected to perform basic tasks and conduct research while observing professional work environments, contributing to the team’s success.

Responsibilities

What You Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Required cumulative GPA: 3.0
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (i.e., read, write, speak) with business level fluency in Japanese and English.

- Before starting with PwC, meet educational requirements to be eligible for the primary credential license relevant for practice area, such as meeting educational requirements to fulfill the 150 credit hour requirement necessary for the CPA license in the state in which your office is located, or provide documentation satisfactory to the Firm that your CPA license can be obtained in the state in which your office is located through reciprocity based on either a CPA license held, or CPA exam passed, in another state.
*Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.
