Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical or business discipline is required; technical/engineering undergraduate degree and an advance degree is preferred.
  • 15+ years’ experience of increasing responsibility in a med tech or life sciences company
  • 5+ years’ full P&L leadership preferred ($40M-$75M+ revenue business)
  • Experience working in companies with process excellence and structured business systems
  • MedTech industry experience required, registered products preferred, cardiovascular/structural heart preferred
  • Global experience a plus
  • Proven ability to manage the P&L, taking full ownership and accountability for making the numbers; meeting or exceeding revenue, profitability, and return-on-asset targets. Strong financial acumen and understanding of the levers of a P&L
  • Knowledge of business & operational processes; commercial development, contract negotiations, program management
  • Prior involvement in mergers and acquisitions, specifically with strategy, identification, and integration of acquisitions, including leadership of integration efforts is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Full ownership of the P&L; accountable for delivering on revenue, profit and working capital goals
  • Develop and execute a profitable growth strategy using Nordson’s NBS Next growth framework; Ensure the organization has a strong understanding of the global market and is continually focused on preserving its differentiated position
  • Complete the implementation and sustained use of NBS Next with purity of practice to deliver leadership level performance in financial and non-financial KPI’s
  • Drive growth via maximizing top customer spend share by promoting and leveraging the company’s core technologies, systems, products, and services. Identity new therapy / application / geography expansion opportunities. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in support of the commercial team and the company’s growth goals
  • Drive innovation and differentiation to increase market share through the development of new products and systems, built on market / data driven voice of customer
  • Establish and maintain premier customer service and operational excellence to deliver leadership level performance in Quality and OTD
  • Create strong, diverse agile teams; Unleash an owner mindset by leading leaders and encouraging decisions making as close to the action as practical
  • Develop and execute an M&A plan. Work with corporate development on the acquisition process, including target identification, due diligence, and integrating activities
  • Other responsibilities, as necessary.
