Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • The ability to remain detail-oriented is required.
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and measuring devices is required.
  • The employee must be able to read and comprehend computer-aided design drawings, also known as blueprints.
  • The employee must be able to read instructions, work orders, diagrams, and wire lists.
  • The employee must be able to operate a computer and office productivity equipment.
  • The employee must be able to frequently lift or move 25 pounds and occasionally move up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee must be able to perform the stated movement, standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling activities.
  • The employee must be able to communicate accurate information to coworkers, managers, and supervisors.
  • The employee must be willing to work overtime and some Saturdays with little to no notice when required by production demands.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble wire harnesses according to written and verbal instructions and required specifications.
  • Wrap and tie wires to form wire harnesses according to customer order specifications.
  • Clean, organize, and maintain the work area.
  • Collaborate with other members of the wire harness team.
  • Support manufacturing activities in other departments, including proper documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements.
  • Follow International Organization for Standardization procedures and company policies.
  • Adhere to workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices.
