The Opportunity
When you join PwC Acceleration Centers (ACs), you step into a pivotal role focused on actively supporting various Acceleration Center services, from Advisory to Assurance, Tax and Business Services. In our innovative hubs, you’ll engage in challenging projects and provide distinctive services to support client engagements through enhanced quality and innovation. You’ll also participate in dynamic and digitally enabled training that is designed to grow your technical and professional skills.
As part of the Guidewire Configuration Developer team you design, develop, and deploy software solutions tailored to client needs. As a Manager, you lead and mentor teams, manage projects, and execute strategic plans successfully. Your proficiency in Java, GOSU programming, and Guidewire systems is crucial in configuring workflows, resolving issues, and performing software upgrades to meet business requirements.
Responsibilities
Leading and managing a professional team in delivering quality output within the given deadlines and budget.
Conduct workshops and knowledge transfer sessions with the offshore team.
Work with the clients in defining systems and project priorities, scope assessment, approach, resource requirements, timing and prioritizing deliverables.
Ensuring that the project requirements and project design approach meet the client standards and the recommended practices.
Reviewing and validating the completeness and applicability of the client requirements and to map ant tailor them to the delivery management processes.
Supporting team members in organizing meeting with engagement / client in resolving doubts & issues with respect to deliverables.
Conducting software quality reviews of developed software modules.
What You Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years of experience
- Java
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
What Sets You Apart
Hands on experience in Guidewire product -ClaimCenter.
Well versed in configuration.
Strong knowledge in Guidewire platform (Gosu scripting / UI / Data Model)
Good knowledge in Webservices, XML, YAML, Maven and Ant script
Experience on any database Oracle / SQL Server and well versed in SQL
Exposure to SCM tool such as GIT, TFS, SVN, etc.
Good knowledge of any servers / containers such as Tomcat / JBoss / WebSphere
Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure.
Good written and oral communication
Excellent analytical skill
Experience in Agile SCRUM or SAFe methodology
Insurance domain knowledge
Experience in software architecture and design patterns
Must have team leading, code review and mentoring skills
At least 3 -4 Guidewire implementations
Expert in software estimations.
Middleware & frameworks like MuleSoft, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate
Good experience in software industry working in end-to-end global delivery model environment
Must have exposure in leading Offshore-Onsite Guidewire Implementation project
Ability to conduct walkthroughs, workshops and meetings involving various business stakeholders.
Ability to build and maintain client relationships, able to comfortably converse with all facets in the client’s organization.
Hands on experience in driving RFI / RFP and other proposal activities
