Part-Time Faculty

The School of Nursing at the University of Southern Maine invites applications to Part Time Faculty positions in the graduate nursing program to teach clinical seminar to a cohort of our Adult and Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) students. These three credit courses are scheduled to be offered on the Portland Campus of the University of Southern Maine in the Summer 2025, Fall 2025 and Spring 26 semesters. These courses are listed to be taught in a low residency format. The course will primarily be asynchronous online with some synchronous touch points throughout the semester. Seminars will be overseen by the AGACNP track lead and NP program director. Candidates are encouraged to teach in consecutive semesters but are not required to.

Responsibilities include following the course descriptions and course outcomes to offer this three-credit course to 8 or less advanced practice (NP) graduate nursing students. Faculty will teach in conjunction with other AGACNP faculty, manage the course using the Brightspace learning management system. • MS in nursing with APRN certification and licensure. 
• Current active Maine RN and APRN license
•  Able to meet employment criteria including background check.
