Requirements
  • At least 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree such as a Master's, MBA, JD, or MD, or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • At least 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 8–10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree such as a Master's, MBA, JD, or MD, or at least 6 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • At least 10 years of experience in corporate communications, ideally within a large, global, matrixed organization.
  • Experience developing and executing financial communications strategy, including earnings-related or business-performance communications.
  • Ability to translate complex financial and business data into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Hands-on media relations experience, including pitching and placement with business, financial, and trade press.
  • Writing and editing experience, including drafting press releases, executive talking points, bylines, and other communications materials.
  • Experience partnering with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders such as Investor Relations and Finance as a trusted communications advisor.
  • Ability to operate with autonomy, judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to identify gaps, recommend solutions, and lead change.
Responsibilities
  • Support the development and execution of Visa's proactive storytelling agenda across markets, products, and business lines.
  • Support financial communications, including quarterly earnings, investor-adjacent messaging, and other business milestones, in partnership with Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with the business and economic insights team to identify and shape data-driven storytelling opportunities.
  • Draft, edit, and refine press releases, executive talking points, media pitches, and question-and-answer documents.
  • Lead direct media engagement by pitching, briefing, and building relationships with key financial, business, and trade press.
  • Write, pitch, or execute communications activities directly when timing or capacity requires hands-on involvement.
  • Partner with senior communications leaders, Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, and business unit leaders to align messaging across audiences.
  • Connect global and regional communications teams to ensure consistency in the growth narrative.
  • Track the impact and effectiveness of financial communications and storytelling initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and approaches for data storytelling and proactive media engagement.
