About the Role - Legal Operations Associate
As a Legal Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in optimizing our legal processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting our outsourced legal counsel on key projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, HR, Finance) to support contract management, regulatory compliance, and internal policy development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our legal strategy as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
· Contract Management
o Manage the lifecycle of customer contracts, including preparation, review, negotiation, and execution.
o Maintain and improve the contract management system, ensuring easy access and compliance tracking.
o Assist with the drafting and templating of contracts, NDAs, and other legal documents.
· Compliance and Risk Management
o Support the development and implementation of data privacy, regulatory, and compliance policies.
o Conduct compliance reviews and audits in collaboration with the legal counsel and relevant departments.
o Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and assess their impact on the business.
· Operational Support
o Optimize and streamline legal workflows to increase efficiency across the team and organization.
o Maintain and manage legal databases, tracking legal expenses, document storage, and other operational metrics.
o Serve as a liaison between the legal team and other departments, ensuring alignment on legal processes and obligations.
o Assist in managing legal projects, including scaling operations, system implementations, and cross-functional initiatives.
o Coordinate and facilitate training sessions to ensure company-wide understanding of legal obligations and best practices.
o Drive special projects to improve legal processes and implement best practices across the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or related field
· 1-3 years of experience in legal operations, paralegal work, or a similar role in a SaaS or tech environment.
· Understanding of contract management and general compliance practices, especially within the SaaS industry.
· Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and experience implementing related processes is a plus.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently and within teams.
