About the Role
In June 2021 two engineers on our team built Audiences, our second major product, all within a few weeks. It now contributes to over 30% of our overall company revenue and is being used by dozens of companies (Blizzard, Warby Parker, + more).
We are now looking to grow the team and bring on an engineer who has deep empathy for customer needs and is excited about leading backend development for our Audiences team.
How you’ll spend your time:
- Design, build, and ship core features to the Hightouch platform
- Review code changes and design specs from teammates
- Work closely with customers and customer facing teams to build impactful features
- Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced teammates looking to expand their full stack knowledge
- Work closely with design, product managers, and solutions engineers to understand problems that are new to the data engineering space and build polished and intuitive features
Some of the problems you’ll work on:
- Building React components with Javascript / Typescript
- Designing APIs and database schemas
- Executing features from concept to production
About you:
- A strong understanding of both backend schema and API design and creating intuitive components in the frontend. Full stack engineers have built features like Hightouch audiences, alerting, and our billing portal.
Our frontend is built in React and Typescript, and our backend is also built on Typescript with some elements of Go.

Compensation
Hightouch’s salary range for this position is $170,000 - $240,000 USD per year.
