Job Summary:
The Infrastructure Engineer provides expertise in supporting one or more products or services while pro-actively monitoring, controlling and supporting service operations; working to achieve service levels. Maintains the organization’s IT infrastructure, which may include hardware, software, servers, storage solutions, networks, or physical facilities.
Essential Functions:
- At least 5 years of system or network administration in a production 24x7 environment.
- Responsible for monitoring and administering a multi-server UNIX/Informix Dynamic Server database environment.
- Assist in administering a heavily virtualized multi-server Windows and UNIX network, including VPN connectivity, Internet/Web connectivity, Exchange email, back-ups, security, and user administration.
- Monitor and regularly report status of network components and performance.
- Assist in the analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of network expansion, configuration, and performance issues.
- Assist in the planning, evaluation, configuration, and installation of servers and related equipment and software.
- Responsible for the configuration and monitoring of all networking equipment in the Home office and DR facilities.

Education/Experience:
- College degree preferred, high school diploma required.
- Strong Understanding of HP UNIX and SUSE LINUX server configuration and tuning.
- Good Understanding of IBM’s Informix Dynamic Server configuration and tuning.
- Working knowledge and training in networking, computer hardware, Internet, Client/Server and computer operating systems
- Cisco router, Cisco switch configuration and management
- Internet / Intranet /Extranet security
- Web application management and user access control
- TCP/IP, VPN, and routing principles
- At least 5 years of experience administering Unix Networks and hardware (preferably HP Unix)
- Experience with Azure Stack HCI Clusters and Windows Admin Center a plus
- Experience with SCCM, SCOM, CommVault, or PaloAlto a plus.
- Experience opening priority incidents with external vendors and driving to resolution required.
- Experience working with Cloud technologies, including Azure a plus.
- Familiarity with PowerShell or scripting technologies and automation capabilities.
- Good Working knowledge of IBM Informix Dynamic Server.
- Some MCSE certifications preferred (Windows, MS Exchange, and SQL Server)
- Other certifications preferred

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.
