Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or a related field of study is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in semiconductor quality, reliability, product engineering, or qualification is required; DRAM or NAND experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Knowledge of DRAM, NAND, Very Large Scale Integration, semiconductor physics, and semiconductor manufacturing across wafer fabrication, assembly, and test is required.
  • Ability to lead multifunctional qualification activities and drive decisions using data, risk assessment, and clear user documentation is required.
  • Experience collaborating with customers and auditors, developing evidence packages, and supporting corrective-action closure in regulated or high-reliability environments is required.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct New Product Qualification, including Aerospace and Defense qualification and lot-level upscreening; define qualification and acceptance requirements for commercial, automotive-baseline, and Aerospace and Defense variants; review qualification and upscreening data; issue product release notifications; and make lot acceptance dispositions.
  • Understand DRAM and NAND failure mechanisms, Aerospace and Defense environmental stressors, and packaging integrity concerns, and perform risk assessments across qualification cycles by evaluating standards gaps, mission profiles, and traceability requirements.
  • Develop Product Reliability Methodology, monitors, metrics, and specifications by coordinating with research and development, test, package reliability, and product engineering teams; maintain reliability tests and monitoring strategies aligned with PEM-INST-001 and internal governance processes.
  • Develop and maintain quality and reliability requirements, including Failure In Time, lifetime, mission profiles, Defects per Million or Parts per Million, screening yield limits, and excursion risk; assess deviations; define containment actions; support change analysis; and drive ship, hold, scrap, or rework disposition decisions.
  • Provide internal technical support for customer support teams, assist with return material authorization analysis, supply manufacturing history and traceability, prepare qualification summaries and audit responses, maintain Reliability Process Monitor plans, and support corrective actions across manufacturing and suppliers.
  • Guide and consult by supporting qualification reviews, preparing compliance evidence packages, working with engineering and test partners, and maintaining knowledge of PEM-INST-001, SAE AS6294, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, and MIL-PRF-38535.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Aerospace and Defense and/or high-reliability programs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and scripting or automation tools such as Python, Perl, C++, or Java is preferred.
  • A solid understanding of aerospace and military microelectronics standards and flows, including NASA/GSFC PEM-INST-001 and SAE AS6294, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with military test and qualification frameworks such as MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, and MIL-PRF-38535, as well as configuration control and traceability expectations, is preferred.
  • Awareness of radiation reliability concepts such as Total Ionizing Dose and Single Event Effects and their impact on qualification strategies is preferred.
  • Experience working with external test houses, screening processes, and audit-readiness expectations is preferred.

Micron CEO says AI demand for memory outpaces supply by 50%, unveils $10B research centre

Micron Technology CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said data-center customers are seeking about 50% more memory supply than the company can currently commit to, driven by AI-related demand. He cited growing needs from autonomous vehicles, robotics and AI-enabled consumer products. The comments came as Micron launched a US research centre in Boise, Idaho, backed by a planned $10 billion investment over the next decade. The facility will focus on advanced memory, computing architectures, packaging and semiconductor manufacturing. Micron has outlined more than $250 billion in planned US manufacturing and research spending. Micron shares climbed nearly 4% on Thursday. The company reported revenue growth of nearly 167% year over year.

Micron to invest $10B in AI memory research lab in Boise over next decade

Micron Technology announced plans to invest $10 billion over the next decade in a new research laboratory in Boise, Idaho, focused on advancing memory technologies and supporting future chip manufacturing. Micron, PDD Holdings, and Adobe trade at bargain valuations — but risks remain

Three Nasdaq-100 stocks are trading at unusually low valuations despite their market presence. US urges allies to choose between American and Chinese tech ecosystems in AI and quantum race

The US-China technology race is intensifying as Washington prepares to urge countries in its AI cooperation network to choose between American and Chinese technology ecosystems. Cramer backs 4 memory chip stocks despite 200%+ gains, says AI demand breaks boom-bust cycle

Jim Cramer believes four memory chip stocks — Micron, SanDisk, Seagate, and Western Digital — can sustain their rallies despite substantial 2026 gains.
