Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage a small team of drafters and permitting specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ensure projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards.
- Project Management: Oversee all design, engineering, and permitting projects, including all FTTx and GPON initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Fiber Design: Lead fiber allocation and designing efforts, working closely with design teams to optimize network designs for maximum efficiency and performance.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with 3rd party design vendors and subcontractors to ensure project requirements and quality standards are met.
- GIS Expertise: Utilize GIS software, including ArcGIS, QGIS, and other tools, to assist in project planning, spatial analysis, and data management.
- Permitting: Manage the permitting process, working with regulatory authorities and local agencies to secure the necessary approvals for project implementation.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all engineering and design work adheres to industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. Including responsibility for all asbuilting needs.
- Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including project plans, schedules, contracts, and change orders.
