Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of people management experience
  • Industrial electrical design experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN drawings
  • Experience using EPLAN for electrical engineering design and documentation
  • Ability to read and interpret data sheets and electronic data sheets (EDS)
  • Experience in safeguarding, maintenance, and manipulation of industrial robots
  • Experience designing for, selecting, and integrating various safety devices
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the year
Responsibilities
  • Communicate technical project status with project managers and company leadership
  • Maintain project execution critical path to ensure projects are delivered on time
  • Understand and meet project budget requirements
  • Act as a project lead for the team
  • Actively manage team workload, task prioritization, and project allocation
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members
  • Develop and maintain electrical and controls engineering processes
  • Foster design documentation for input requirements, calculations, analysis, tolerance stacks, and installation manuals
  • Assist in the installation and integration via hands-on approach
  • Troubleshoot deployment of design and record feedback
  • Teach team members how to setup and use engineering tools
  • Manage and build on team onboarding sessions
  • Set up and configure various hardware including industrial robots, demo cells, end effectors, cameras, vision systems, lighting, power panels, control panels, and robot controllers
  • Own and provide necessary build layouts and requirements for power and comms
  • Document and communicate design layouts, I/O counts, and write technical standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Support building a world-class culture and team capable of deploying systems to the highest standards and levels of customer satisfaction
