  • 24 months of commercial driving experience and a clean 10-year DMV record.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in the transportation realm with the ability to motivate and collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrates servant leadership through strong communication, accountability, and leading by example in both operations and strategic planning.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service while maintaining operational efficiency and driving cost reductions.
  • Understands Department of Transportation regulations, safe cargo handling, and maintains accurate log books and records.
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet production demands.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and skilled in written and verbal communication.
  • Experienced in process improvement and committed to continuous operational enhancement
Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations Oversight: Supports pre-departure activities including truck loading, manifest checks, route verification, and employee briefings; conducts weekly safety meetings.
  • Route & Driver Management: Ensures drivers follow assigned routes for optimal productivity and addresses routing issues as needed.
  • Cross-Department Communication: Maintains effective coordination between plant operations, sales, and field service teams.
  • Problem Solving & Customer Service: Leads daily route debriefs to resolve operational challenges and customer service concerns.
  • Driver Performance & Compliance: Manages driver behavior, conducts evaluations and reviews, and ensures adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Fleet Maintenance: Coordinates vehicle servicing and resolves equipment issues to maintain performance standards.
  • Cost & Coverage Management: Controls labor costs by managing headcount and overtime, and fills in for drivers when necessary to maintain route schedules.
