Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinic experience.
  • Ability to diagnose and treat infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, degenerative, physiologic, and environmental disease.
  • Ability to triage and stabilize urgent or emergent cases before referral.
  • Competence performing feline and canine spay and neuter procedures, including mature and large-breed cases, cryptorchid neuter, umbilical hernia repair, mass removals, cystotomy, laceration repair, eyelid surgery, enucleation, and gastropexy.
  • Competence in dental charting, reading X-rays, gingival flaps, burring and sectioning, extractions, and closing extraction sites.
  • DVM status with the ability to provide appointments, procedures, laboratory interpretation, medication prescriptions, patient follow-up, and timely charting and task completion.
  • Ability to manage scheduled appointments, walk-ins, urgent cases, and tasks effectively.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Ability to address conflict, communicate clearly and compassionately, and collaborate with team members and veterinarians.
  • Basic interest in or understanding of veterinary business metrics and how good medicine supports a healthy business.
  • Ability to partner with the Practice Manager and Juno to develop and execute care initiatives.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems, adapt to change, and seek support when needed.
Responsibilities
  • Manage medical safety reports and medical quality.
  • Shadow appointments and review medical records to provide mentorship as needed.
  • Conduct consistent one-to-one meetings with DVMs to coach them on medicine, surgery, dentistry, member experience, and team communication.
  • Partner with the Practice Manager to support medical operational efficiency, member experience, and team development.
  • Attend regular meetings with DVMs, the Practice Manager, leads, the National Medical Director, and other Lead DVMs.
  • Conduct annual DVM reviews and development planning.
  • Provide primary patient care through appointments, procedures, laboratory interpretation, medication prescribing, and follow-up.
  • Provide follow-up care for clinic patients when the primary veterinarian is unavailable.
  • Build positive client experiences through proactive client-plan formulation, conflict resolution, thoroughness, and efficiency.
  • Participate in team meetings to improve overall medical quality.
  • Coach and support inexperienced doctors and support team members.
  • Develop positive relationships with the team and communicate needs to support and leadership teams.
  • Align with and promote Juno initiatives.
  • Expand service offerings through continuing education and training.

  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Strong interest in leadership.
