Requirements
  • Baccalaureate in Business Administration, Public administration, or a related field and six (6) years of full-time related experience, of which three (3) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity.
  • Or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience and three (3) years in a managerial/supervisory capacity.
Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management & Strategic Procurement
  • * Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment necessary for station maintenance, service delivery, and operations support.
  • * Collaborate with MTA Procurement and internal stakeholders to manage vendor contracts, monitor budget compliance, and coordinate the purchase and distribution of critical supplies (e.g., cleaning, safety, and office materials).
  • * Lead inventory planning efforts through demand forecasting, project management, and strategic drawdowns to meet operational deadlines.
  • Communications Equipment Oversight
  • * Oversee operations of the Department of Subways Radio Room, managing a physical inventory of over 8,000 radios.
  • * Ensure accuracy and accountability of all equipment issued across divisions, including coordination of radio distribution, repair, and replacement.
  • * Partner with Operations Training to ensure timely assignment of radios to new employees, supporting clear communication for train and personnel movement.
  • PPE and Specialized Equipment Support
  • * Support personal protective equipment (PPE) needs across Maintenance of Way, Service Delivery, and related divisions by coordinating closely with Logistics, Procurement, and Safety teams.
  • * Oversee distribution and availability of PPE for new and existing employees, including specialized equipment such as air quality monitors, respirators, and cartridges.
  • * Manage repair and replacement cycles of safety-critical gear to ensure operational compliance and worker protection.
  • Procurement Operations & Vendor Management
  • * Serve as the procurement lead for high-demand and specialty materials, utilizing platforms such as Talon, CMS, and MMS to manage requisitions, track inventory, and monitor purchase activity.
  • * Oversee the preparation and submission of emergency and standard procurement documentation, including commodity orders, maintenance forms, and payment processing.
  • * Develop and maintain forecasts for regularly used materials, and ensure compliance with procurement policies through accurate documentation and vendor coordination.
