  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, marketing, or related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Sales, Marketing, Product, or licensing experience in a selling/negotiation role.
  • Experience in consumer goods industry preferred.
  • Commercial experience preferred – ability to help licensing partners commercialize their products. Understanding of line reviews, development of marketing plans, and an ability to identify new opportunities to grow sales.
  • Prepared to travel up to 25%, occasionally outside North American region.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute Stanley Black & Decker’s strategic cordless licensing business, tied to the Powered By Initiative, with both new and existing partners.
  • Build a cohesive and actionable licensing partner growth plan that will support Global Licensing revenue growth.
  • Work closely with existing licensing partners to develop successful strategic partnerships.
  • Identify potential new cordless expansion opportunities and develop prospecting lists with our external Licensing agency, Beanstalk.
  • Assist in the on-boarding and signing of new partners through presentations and negotiations on contracts.
  • Work closely with brand business units to ensure full alignment on key strategies.
  • Present the combined core + licensed portfolio offering to senior leaders to drive commercial excellence and ensure brand vitality.
  • Develop 3-year strategic plans with external licensing partners to include product roadmap planning, territory and customer expansion, commercialization planning, digital excellence, and eCommerce sales growth.
  • Conduct business reviews with each partner annually and be fully immersed in their business on a month-to-month basis, supporting their business needs and assisting to execute their growth plans.
  • Assist Licensing partners with the brand and product approval process; work in conjunction with the Legal, Engineering, and Brand Teams to ensure delivery of best-in-class products. Negotiate contracts, extensions, amendments, and renewals for partners. Collaborate with Legal to draft contracts and work through approvals / revisions.
