Why we’re hiring:
As the WPP NA People HCM Delivery Manager, you will contribute significantly to the implementation of Workday HCM across WPP Operating Companies (Agencies) for the United States & Canada. Partnering closely with various teams including Technology, Process, Change, Communications, and Training, you will act as the primary contact between the WPP Workday program team and Agency Stewards, ensuring smooth delivery and transformation of People Operations functions. This role will start with a focus on the UK (pilot location) and transition to global oversight as the rollout plan progresses.
What you’ll be doing:
1: Market Support: Assist various NA markets, addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing guidance for successful Workday implementation.
2: Governance:
- Serve as the intermediary between the WPP Workday program team and Agency Stewards, ensuring timely completion of delivery tasks and milestones.
- Foster transparent and aligned communication between the program team and agencies throughout the delivery process.
- Resolve issues or concerns raised by agencies regarding the delivery process, escalating where necessary.
- Identify and escalate timeline and resource challenges/risks to the Global Deployment Lead, proposing solutions for timely resolution.
- Manage project communication channels and meetings with relevant delivery teams.
- Proactively suggest alternative solutions to enhance engagement, understanding, and collaboration in the market.
3: Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with NA Agencies Process Stewards to collect and document business requirements for Workday implementation.
4: Business Process Analysis: Work closely with the Global Process team and agency Process Stewards to analyze current HR processes and align them with future processes within Workday. Identify gaps between existing and future processes and collaborate with stakeholders to address them effectively.
5: Collaboration: Work closely with the NA deployment lead, Agency Country Process Stewards, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful Workday delivery.
6: Comprehensive Testing: Develop and execute test plans with the NA deployment lead and other program team members to ensure thorough testing of all business cases, including system, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
7: Communication and Adoption: Ensure Agency executes communication and training plans within project deadlines. Collaborate with Change, Comms & Training team and Agency Stewards to adjust/supplement program tools for effective training and communication plans, driving adoption of new processes, roles, and technology within the market.
What you’ll need:
• Proven experience managing the HR side of the complete delivery lifecycle of Workday HCM or other HCM Cloud platforms.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience with preference for HR, IT, or other corporate functions.
• Must have 3-5 years of project management experience with large, complex, cross-functional, technology, and transformation projects.
• Strong preference for experience working in a complex media agency/creative environment or similar industries.
• Experience with large-scale, complex organizational change efforts.
• Experience with process engineering, including design, mapping, and SOP development preferred.
• Solid understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills at all levels, across organizations.
• Impeccable communication skills with the ability to distill complex ideas into digestible communication.
• Ability to lead and influence others toward a common vision or goal.
• Flexible, adaptable, resilient, and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.
• Problem-solving and root cause identification skills.
