Requirements
  • B.S. in Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field with 2+ years of relevant research experience in industry or academia
  • Excellent aseptic cell culture techniques required
  • Experience with flow cytometry, immunological assays (e.g. ELISA and Westerns) and qPCR
  • Experience with data analysis using tools such as FlowJo and GraphPad Prism
  • Very good organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to recognize and resolve basic problems encountered in standard procedures
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and knowledge on the job, demonstrate productivity and deliver high-quality results
Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of a manager, execute high-quality, well-controlled experiments to validate tumor target antigen candidates
  • Maintain mammalian cell cultures
  • Execute cell staining and flow cytometry assessments
  • Execute RNA- and protein-based assays to validate lead target expression profiles
  • Screen and develop reagents to enable target validation
  • Interpret and effectively execute experiments in line with project timelines and goals
  • Maintain an electronic lab notebook, ensuring experimental methods and results are recorded timely, accurately, and consistently
  • Communicate with project leads about project status, significant findings, or critical problem areas
