Requirements
  • German language - fluent
  • English language - business fluent
  • Graduate degree in Operations Research, Statistics, or a related quantitative field is required
  • Demonstrated experience of script programming languages, preferably Python, for data analytics and machine learning applications
  • Ability to elicit customers’ knowledge, both explicit and tacit, about business objectives, strategic concerns, and policies related to the scope and success of the project
  • Able to translate complex data into business insights and opportunities to create value
  • Ability to communicate analytic insights and recommendations to customers without a deep knowledge of statistics by relating data stories to business situations and processes
  • Capable of working with and selecting relevant subsets of large data sets
Responsibilities
  • Perform data analysis to discover patterns, trends and anomalies in customer data, translate the results into actionable insights, and present results and recommendations to support customers in improving their data quality
  • Work as part of a regional and global support team, supporting customer running Pricing solutions and in the future our Cognitive solutions
  • Extract and present data stories from customer data sets to demonstrate value of solution and guide the customer in their priorities
  • Guide the customer through identification of success metrics
  • Work with other members of the Blue Yonder team to understand domain issues and customer-specific requirements and translate them into model enhancement and tuning activities
  • Adhere to ITIL standards for support case management when working with our customers, adhere and achieved specified SLAs and Case Quality
  • Extend, configure and train models to support overall project objectives, and run simulations and what-if analyses to evaluate alternative scenarios
  • Provide analytical services as part of a team conducting proofs-of-concept and identifying opportunities to create customer value
  • Keep up with industry trends in data science practice and continuously improve the support team’s tools and methodologies
  • Travel to customer and team work locations (according requirement, max around 10%)
Desired Qualifications
  • advanced knowledge of machine learning is preferred
  • Familiarity with business processes for retail, pricing, and supply chain management is preferred
  • PhD is a plus

Blue Yonder, an AI company for supply chain, reported $1.42 billion in revenue for fiscal year 2025, with 10.4% year-over-year SaaS revenue growth and 103.8% net revenue retention. The company added 114 new customers throughout the year. In Q4 2025, Blue Yonder added 29 new customers and won the 2025 Microsoft Global ISV Partner of the Year award. The company unveiled significant enhancements to its Demand and Supply Planning and Warehouse Management solutions, introducing AI-driven capabilities including insight-driven scenario planning and the Inventory Ops Agent for proactive decision-making. Blue Yonder was featured in over 90 technology industry analyst reports during FY25 and received multiple industry recognitions.
