Amentum is looking for an Electrical Designer to complete design assignments of limited complexity under the direct Supervision of a Design Supervisor or Lead Designer.The Designer is responsible for initiating and developing engineering drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project’s discipline engineers.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have obtained an Associate’s degree in an engineering discipline and/or have equivalent experience.
Equivalent Experience: 6+ years of electrical design or wiring and electrical installation experience.
Capability with 2D/3D AutoCAD design.
Working experience in lighting, grounding, duct bank, cable tray, power & control designs, wiring diagrams and schematics.
Familiarity with electrical national and local codes, permits, and software applications.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work.
Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen. Must not have Dual Citizenship.
Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Position may require travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
AutoCAD MEP, MicroStation, and/or Revit design experience.
Associates Degree in computer aided drafting with an electrical emphasis or equivalent experience
Government facility (DOE, DOD, Army Corps of Engineers) project experience
Compensation & Benefits
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $43.00 - $57.00 (Hourly) (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
