So, what is an SDR at Sponge? SDR stands for Sales Development Representative and you’ll be responsible for generating new qualified business opportunities, playing a key role in Business Development. It’s exciting - you’ll open doors, build relationships, make new connections and introduce our client managers, to key prospects. Communication is at the heart of an SDR role - you’ll reach new prospects via email, phone, and socials (like LinkedIn) - and you’ll be regularly engaging with prospects and working closely with our creative teams to realise our vision to reimagine learning across global organisations.
We need a human who is:
🗃️ Organised and proactive – you’ll be supporting us to grow our client portfolio and setting up campaigns for engaging new customers, which means organisation is 🗝️.
😁 Personable, approachable and, really… finds it easy to make new friends – you’ll be building contacts, creating new sales opportunities, booking sales discovery calls and delighting new customers.
📝👂A great listener - you’ll track your conversations through our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and share any useful insights you find out with the sales and marketing team.
🤝 Team player – you’ll work with lots of amazing and talented humans at Sponge, working collaboratively to develop and execute effective outreach strategies.
🗣️ Communicator – you’re going to be talking to lots of humans inside Sponge and in global organisations, so communication skills are a must!

Location – Hybrid Bristol or Plymouth
Our new headquarters is in Bristol (The Paintworks). You’ll be able to work flexibly from home and the office. We work in a Hybrid way with ideally 3 days per week in the office and the rest of the week worked remotely and we open to exploring flexible working options to help you find the right work-life balance for you. You’ll need some time to concentrate and avoid constant commuting, so homeworking is essential, but face-to-face time is important too.
We currently have main offices in the UK in Bristol, Plymouth, Glasgow, and in Europe in Berlin and Brussels.
