Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Drive total store sales and understand how departments and team contributions affect total store profitability.
  • Create a guest-focused culture and lead the team to prioritize the guest experience and deliver store sales goals.
  • Create schedules and adjust them to align with guest traffic and business needs.
  • Manage the team in planning merchandising and pricing workload, including transitions, revisions, sales plans, sampling, and promotions.
  • Assess competition and use guest insights and feedback to drive the business.
  • Work schedules aligned with guest and business needs, including early morning, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
  • Build a team of consultants knowledgeable and passionate about Apparel and Accessories, Beauty, and Electronics.
  • Manage and develop a sales force using selling training techniques.
  • Lead Apparel and Accessories, Beauty, and Electronics backroom processes, organization, layout, and sales-floor replenishment.
  • Lead the team in delivering visual presentations in Apparel and Accessories, Home, Baby, and other seasonally relevant areas.
  • Ensure fitting rooms are used as an extension of the sales floor and remain welcoming.
  • Plan, lead, and follow up on organizational and operational change.
  • Anticipate and identify changes in unique store trends.
  • Anticipate staffing needs, create talent plans, and recruit for both long- and short-term needs.
  • Develop and coach the team and Team Leaders to elevate their skills and expertise.
  • Lead team onboarding and learning, and close product-knowledge and skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.
  • Establish accountability through clear expectations and performance management.
  • Provide service and a shopping experience that meets guest needs.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, and hold the team accountable to the same standards.
  • Address store needs, including emergencies and regulatory visits.
  • Follow safe and secure training and processes as a key carrier.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience building and managing a guest-first culture.
  • Knowledge of retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotion strategies.
  • Experience setting and planning department monthly or quarterly workload to support business priorities and managing a team to deliver sales goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple specialty businesses and balance team-member expertise across departments.
  • Knowledge of competitors and ability to use insights to drive business objectives in specialty departments.
  • Experience managing hourly team members and leaders and creating business-specific strategies and goals.
  • Skills in recruiting, selecting, and managing talent for hourly team members and leaders.
