Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited education program in Sonography or equivalent.
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or eligible.
  • Required ARDMS certification in Abdomen and OB-Gyn. If not certified upon hire, must obtain certifications within one (1) year of hire.
  • Current CPR for Healthcare Providers
Responsibilities
  • Provides health care services by applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis.
  • Performs Sonography procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by a Radiologist or a licensed independent practitioner.
  • Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
  • Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure.

Sellersburg, Indiana — According to state and local development sources, Baptist Health plans to invest $40,000,000.00 to build out new space in Sellersburg. The company plans to occupy the new space in Sellersburg, on or about October 1, 2026. According to the company website Founded in 1924 in Louisville, Kentucky, Baptist Health is a full-spectrum health system dedicated to improving the health of the communities it serves.
