What Will You Do?

As a Water Network Technician Apprentice,you’ll:

• Ensure clean water is delivered to local homes and businesses.

• Be a friendly, approachable representative of Anglian Water and delivering exceptional customer service.

• Take on diverse challenges daily, including:

• Identify and repairing leaks in the water network.

• Upgrade water supply systems to ensure reliability.

• Respond to emergencies such as burst pipes or flooding.

• Make a positive impact in the community by solving problems and helping customers.

• Preparefor a critical 24/7 standby role after qualification, highlighting the essential nature of your work.

• Seize the opportunity to contribute to the safe and reliable delivery of water to thousands.

What Are We Looking For?

• A passion for problem-solving and sustainability.

• GCSEs (Grade A-C or 9-4 in Maths, English, and Science) or Level 2 Functional Skills. (please note that predicted grades will be accepted if you have not yet completed your exams)

• A willingness to work outdoors and take on challenges

• A growth mindset and a drive to explore, learn, and contribute to a greater purpose.

Whetheryou are new to the industry or considering a career change—our programs are designed to support and develop all.

Your time will be split between classroom and on-the-job learning. You’ll attend college in Peterborough one week each month, and the remaining time will be spent on the job learning, applying your learning and gaining hands-on experience. Your learning journey will also be supported with a minimum of 6 hours per week of off-the-job training. This course usually takes 24 months to complete. (Travel costs to/from college will be covered, in line with our expenses reimbursement policy).
