Requirements
  • Experience with low-voltage and/or electrical installation projects.
  • A minimum of 5 years of field experience in the security environment.
  • Experience with Software House, Lenel, Genetec, and AMAG access control platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with Genetec, Exacq, Axis, American Dynamics, and/or other IP video products is preferred.
  • Experience in the installation of door hardware.
  • Experience reading and comprehending engineered drawings.
  • Experience marking up, or red-lining, drawings after installation.
  • Proficiency using a computer, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Knowledge of basic IP networking.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively with company employees and customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision as a self-starter and quick learner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Residence in Northern California.
Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of assigned jobs, including installation, programming, start-up, testing, checking, and documentation for projects using access control and IP video products and systems.
  • Direct subcontractors in the field and coordinate with the Installation Supervisor.
  • Adapt project plans and recommend changes based on local field conditions.
  • Supervise installation of access control and IP video systems according to engineered drawings.
  • Conduct in-house and job-site meetings.
  • Control project costs and invoicing.
  • Financially forecast projects from start to completion.
  • Write and manage subcontractor scopes of work.
  • Manage subcontractors and company installers.
  • Create and execute project schedules.
  • Conduct job analyses and identify labor and material shortages.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time, sometimes on short notice.
  • Identify and resolve issues that could negatively affect job productivity.
  • Complete required job paperwork, including site documents and as-built drawing markups.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
  • Ensure company and site-specific safety programs are followed.
  • Maintain a safe driving record and report incidents or near misses to management.
  • Attend required product or safety training.

  • PMI or equivalent certification.
  • Strong work ethic, teamwork, and commitment to providing excellent service.
