Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of audit experience.
  • Proficiency in performing internal audits for finance and business areas.
  • Knowledge of information technology controls and information technology security, with strong knowledge of COBIT.
  • Working knowledge of risk management frameworks including ISO and COSO.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Visio, Microsoft Outlook, and experience using Copilot.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proven experience drafting audit reports for executive management and/or boards or audit committees.
  • Strong relationship-building and relationship-management skills.
  • Initiative and ownership to address challenges and escalate where necessary to ensure progress of assigned activities.
  • Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, innovation, and collaboration abilities.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to learn and absorb new content quickly and navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and collaborate with external auditors on the completion of SOC 2 and CSAE 3000 audits and substantive testing of key areas to provide assurance to the Teranet group of companies and fulfill contractual commitments.
  • Conduct the annual internal audit plan, plan and schedule audits, and contribute to establishing work standards and procedures for inspecting and appraising financial, technological, and operational controls.
  • Execute audit processes, including testing procedures, in accordance with audit guidelines and departmental standards, and evaluate audit results against accumulated audit evidence.
  • Produce and present audit reports, or review audit reports, detailing ratings, issue severity, risks, internal control deficiencies, practical and cost-effective risk-mitigation recommendations, and improvement opportunities for control owners, senior management, and executive risk owners.
  • Provide post-audit follow-up services to management and teams, facilitate improvements, validate that issues have been addressed and resolved, and recommend revisions to auditing policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Complete quarterly summary reports for executive management and the Audit and Risk Committee on progress against the annual internal audit plan.
  • Develop effective relationships with clients and stakeholders, including co-sourced internal audit services, to ensure high-quality audit services and maximize collaboration in managing risks.
  • Manage relationships with executives and staff across information technology, finance, treasury, procurement, legal, human resources, lines of business, customers, external auditors, and co-sourced internal auditors.
  • Provide ad hoc advice to help departments achieve control effectiveness.
  • Manage direct, indirect, seconded, and co-sourced staff reporting to the position, including recruiting, training, evaluating, motivating, and delegating their activities.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by the Director and Head of Internal Audit in support of standing up and maintaining the internal audit function.
