Requirements
  • Bachelors Engineering Degree, Electrical Engineering preferred
  • 5 or more years of relevant technical experience in solar & storage power generation required
  • Fundamental understanding of solar PV and battery storage systems
  • Experience with the maintenance and repair of electrical power systems
  • Prefer experience as a Powin Sustaining Engineer, Commissioning or Systems Engineer, including knowledge of StackOS, Kobold/CCUI, Dragon/Phoenix/Turtle tools, TEAM controller, Feather, FSS, Powin String controller, Battery Pack Controller and Powin HVAC troubleshooting
  • Prefer experience in troubleshooting of Powin Stack 750 and Stack 230 BESS systems
  • Experience in commissioning or troubleshooting BESS system inverters is very advantageous, especially pertaining to the SMA SC3950, SC2475 or Sungrow SG3600/SG4400 inverters
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and other common specifications in the electrical power industry
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and manage technical projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
Responsibilities
  • Monitor the performance of BESS plants
  • Review alarms, identify and troubleshoot outages
  • Engage and direct field technicians. Travel on site when necessary.
  • Document work instructions, fault conditions and trouble resolution.
  • Plant onboarding support: review documents from construction. Verify for completeness as it relates to plant Operations.
  • Execute LRE integrity programs for storage plants: primarily maintenance, repair and performance monitoring of equipment
  • Review maintenance findings from storage plants and make recommendations for maintenance improvements or upgrades
  • Perform root cause analysis and/or validates contractor root cause analysis
  • Approve and manage plant design changes
  • Interface with OEM technical teams
  • Manage issues and improvement projects
