- Clinical experience (kidney care preferred)
- Educators must be certified and/or licensed healthcare professionals and must be able to present proof of license or certification upon onboarding as an educator.
- Engage the community with focus on key actions toward improved health outcomes for CKD participants through a classroom environment
- Explain complex health concepts for participants in an easy-to-understand manner, using the most recently approved versions of the Kidney Smart curriculum(curriculum and educator guide)
- Skilled in working with a wide variety of participants who may be challenged in hearing, sight, and mobility
- Keep the Kidney Smart Program safe by following all Kidney Smart Program Requirements as indicated in the compliance policy and Educator Resource Manual
- Skilled in reviewing, educating and answering questions on all modality options for dialysis including, transplant, hemodialysis, PD and HHD
