Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in a related field and 9 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Typical experience ranges from 9 - 12 years.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a 'Q' level clearance within 1 year.
Responsibilities
  • Plans, schedules, and organizes for the security department to ensure effective utilization of employees and compliance with all contract requirements, quality standards and budgetary guidelines.
  • Responsible for conducting site reviews, writing audit/review reports, reviewing findings, and making recommendations to senior management.
  • Manages all aspects of a security project life cycle, including scope definition, developing detailed plan, tracking, managing, and communicating project status.
  • Maintains a close working relationship with senior management and/or operational management in ensuring security services are being properly executed and the needs of the company are met.
  • Monitors and evaluates unit performance on key security issues and programs, recommends corrective action programs where appropriate.
  • Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing security plans and programs such as Emergency Response and Crisis Management, Physical Security, Information Protection, Incident Management, and/or Investigation.
  • Maintains knowledge of complex industry trends, current security issues and security technology and updates management on risk and threats which could impact the project.
  • Performs incident analysis and investigation related to all incidents with advice and closure to all responsible functional management and supporting security management.
  • Conducts risk assessments to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines as well as contractual and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Serves as liaison with local emergency response organizations.
  • May have budgetary responsibilities.

  • Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner. If supervising others, they have responsibility for the safety of those being supervised and ensure they comply with established safety policies, procedures, and practice safe work habits.
  • Must acquire or have certifications pertaining to work assigned per DOE requirements or management direction.
  • Actively participates in Safety Work Groups.
