Requirements
  • Demonstrate competences and technical proficiencies acquired through:
  • BS+ 6+ years of experience, MS+ 3+ years of experience, or PHD 1+ years of experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in hardware, software, or systems engineering, robotics, data science, or related technical fields.
  • Experience with performance analyses for HW/SW system, such as reliability, demonstration testing, accelerated validation testing plans, or Weibull analysis.
  • 2+ years of experience with data analyses or applied statistical analyses, such as data mining, sampling design, analysis of variance, time series analysis, or predictive modeling.
  • Experience working with large datasets, SQL, and C/C++ or Python.
  • Familiarity with Cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Ability to understand complex technical systems.
  • Ability to adapt and operate under ambiguity.
  • A hyper attention to detail with an iterative approach in completing enterprise goal.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Willing to travel up to 10% to Torc offices, test facilities, etc.
Responsibilities
  • Work at the highest levels of abstraction within the product to define design goals and their objectives or key performance indicators.
  • Develop an automated safety metrics framework to evaluate vehicle-level and/or ADS-level performance.
  • Quantitatively and qualitatively compare performance across multiple operating environments to help refine the ODD (operational design domain) and product requirements.
  • Identify data sources and data collection mechanisms for assessing operational performance and the characteristics of operating environments.
  • Lead and communicate data analyses to provide insights to a wide variety of audiences enabling effective decision making and continual improvement.
  • Monitor safety, performance and quality trends and work with relevant partners to quickly address technical gaps.
  • Conduct literature reviews to ensure consistency with industry best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers, PMO (Program Management Office), and all relevant partners to ensure design, implementation, testing, and programs are on track, and regularly drive consensus among diverse partners on technical projects.
