Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to fabricate test equipment and cabling.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on a wide range of test equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and develop effective solutions.
  • General operational knowledge of electronic test equipment and environmental systems.
  • Understanding of basic analog circuitry and ability to read electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information to engineers and other team members.
  • A meticulous approach to ensure accuracy in testing, calibration, and documentation.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work safely and professionally while adhering to OSHA, Environmental Protection Agency, and state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to arrive at work on time and work each scheduled day.
Responsibilities
  • Fabricate test equipment, fixtures, and cabling.
  • Provide routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
  • Provide training for other staff on the proper use of test equipment.
  • Work an alternate schedule supporting weekends.
  • Repair or replace faulty components or systems in test equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Work with engineers, quality control personnel, and other technicians to address equipment issues and improve testing processes.
  • Execute manual and automated tests and document results thoroughly.
  • Ensure all test equipment and procedures adhere to safety standards and regulations.
  • Provide feedback on test equipment design and automated test improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of fabrication, maintenance, calibration, and repairs, including detailed reports and logs.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment to ensure availability for maintenance and repairs.
  • Work flexible hours and different shifts when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate degree in a technical or engineering field.
  • Five years of hands-on experience in electronics test equipment.
  • Soldering experience with IPC J-STD-001 certification.
  • Electronics inspection experience with IPC A-610 certification.
